While some might look at a day of shopping as the most opportune moment to have fun, others would say differently. On July 21, delegates were given the opportunity to go shop at Hagerstown outlet mall and to go have fun with friends at a mini camp.
The day started off with a trip to the outlets, giving students the time to spend some money and get things for themselves and their families and friends. And while the weather might not have been the greatest, the day seemed to be going very well. Stores such as Coach, Yankee Candle, shoe stores, and even Tommy Hilfiger, provided the students with plenty to keep them busy.
As the shopping trip came to an end, buses were boarded and everyone was off to Potomac Game and Fish.
Potomac Game and Fish provided the students with both outdoor and water activities for the rest of the day. While some might have wanted to participate in the mini Olympics, where each group competed against one another to see who was the best, others might have wanted a boat ride or to even go tubing in the water. And tubing seemed to be the most popular activity of the day. You are given the opportunity to sit in the largest tube with a life vest and given the ride of a lifetime. The boat pulls a tube of two students as they ride the waves and hold on for a relaxing and fun ride.
At the end of the day, the students were able to unwind with some ice cream for National Ice Cream day and some water balloon fun!!
