As flagship of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization Clubs & Centers in the U.S., our UNESCO Center for Peace works to create the conditions for” dialogue among civilizations, cultures and peoples, based upon respect for commonly shared values.

The vision for The First Ladies Youth Infusion Summit is to INFUSE the wisdom and knowledge of two generations. We will search for young leaders who have the passion, foresight and knowledge to come up with innovative technologies, policies, resources and other tools to advance the great works that are already being implemented in African countries. UCP combines this year’s Summit with the yearly events that bring young leaders from around the world to the United States.

Yearly The UNESCO Center for Peace host students around the world for a two week summer camp called the International Model U. N (IMUN) for students ages 14 to 22. The mission of the United Nation and UNESCO Center for Peace are reflected through our IMUN summer camp, which serves as a forum in which students from around the world can gather to discuss some of the major challenges facing the world today, in fields such as the international peace, economic progress, human rights and security. It aims to educate participants about civics, effective communication, globalization and multilateral diplomacy. It serves as a “mock” UN for students.

Our camp promotes important values such as personal and mutual responsibility and respect, integrity, sense of idealism, compassion and service, personal challenge, celebration of difference, international and intercultural understanding. More
