The UNESCO Center for Peace Law Scholars Visiting Program (LSVP) provide a 10-day comprehensive overview of the U.S. Legal System to law students, lawyers, practitioners and scholars from around the world! The program includes several working sessions with a Judge, State Attorney, local lawyers, and a regional Bar Association in the Washington D.C. Metro area. Additionally, attendees will have the unique chance to visit and observe the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Congress, United Nations Headquarters in NYC and much more!
A complete application for a visiting Law Scholar contains, in addition to the group application, a cover letter explaining the applicant’s motivation, a law school transcript and a letter of recommendation from a law school professor and/or dean’s certifications from the programs in which the applicant has been enrolled, and a letter from the applicant’s degree-granting law school giving permission for the applicant to attend the UNESCO Center for Peace Law Scholars Visiting Program as part of their course.
